Many youth sports nurture only the physical needs of young people, while other programs address only academic. However ballroom dance instruction provides exercise, intellectual stimulation and teaches important social skills.
Dancesport, or competitive ballroom dancing is as physically demanding as soccer, swimming or running. It teaches coordination, increases stamina and promotes a healthy body image. While some traditional dance instruction requires that the students fit a particular body type, ballroom dancers come in all shapes and sizes. Our classes create healthy bodies and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
What Ballroom Dances?
Your Child has an opportunity to learn a variety of styles within the realm of partnership dancing. This variety of dances will create an awareness of music and rhythm, a diverse vocabulary of movement and the ability to dance at many different social functions to all types of music. Youth classes are divided into 6 week sessions and cover a variety of dance styles I.e., rhythm & smooth. Each session will introduce 2-4 dances

At TG Danzport we offer both group and private instruction and encourage your child to try both. Private lessons are scheduled at your convenience. Youth group classes will resume August 2017.
